About The Team

We are a veterinary team who work collaboratively to ensure optimal success for your equine athlete. Our practice has access to everything to ensure maximized results regardless of medical concern or condition.

Dr. Chad Davis, kindly known in the region as “Dr. Chad,” grew up in southern California where his experience both on and off horses started with all types of breeds and disciplines. After spending a number of years in the veterinary pharmaceutical field, he attended and graduated from Ross University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.

In the summer of 2013, he along with his partner and wife, Dr. Stephanie Davis, opened Davis Equine. With a strong emphasis on the sport horse (eventers, dressage, showjumpers, hunters, and polo) Dr. Chad can be seen  attending multiple equine events throughout the years both here in the United States and abroad.

When not working with his equine athletes, Dr. Chad tries to find time for competitive golf and even cycling.

Dr. Stephanie aka “Dr. Steph” grew up in Indiana as an avid eventer. She continued her eventing career while in college, attending Indiana University and Otterbein College in Ohio and competing her mare, “Sweet Music,” through the one star level. After graduating in 2002 with dual majors in Molecular Biology and Equine Pre-Veterinary Sciences, she worked as a phlebotomist (in a human hospital) and spent time training as a farrier’s apprentice. Her experiences served her well when she went on in 2005 to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.

While in school she enjoyed traveling, including trips to India, South Africa and Thailand. She returned to the U.S. in 2007 and completed her clinical rotations at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. In September of 2013, she developed and co-opened Davis Medicine with her partner and husband “Dr. Chad.” Ever the consummate learner, she has gone on to further her education by obtaining advanced training in acupuncture and most recently completed her certification in equine rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Stephanie continues with other scholastic and vocational efforts by consulting with companies like Haygain and Flexineb. While not being the serial entrepreneur and scholarly veterinarian, she finds time to still maintain and active eventing sporting life with her horse Cooley Quality Q.

To fully understand “Dr. Steph” you have to look no further than her belief in family and her ability to effectively communicate with her clients, colleagues, friends and family.

The Drs. Davis were proud to announce in 2018 the birth of their daughter, whom brings joy and laughter to the family. In 2020, both Drs. Davis are proud to announce their next veterinary endeavor with the opening of their state-of-the-art Virginia Equine Rehabilitation and Performance Center. The “Drs. Davis” are firmly committed to family and community as a guiding influence in their public and private lives.

Dr. Molly Delaney, was born and raised in North Carolina where her love of all things horses began with Pony Club and her first thoroughbred. She went on to Virginia Tech where she started the eventing team and graduated with a major in Biology and minors in Animal Science and Chemistry. She stayed at Virginia Tech for vet school, and after graduation in 2020, went on to complete a rotating internship in California at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center. She returned east and worked in Chester County, Pennsylvania before making it back to Virginia with Davis Equine. In her spare time you will find Dr. Delaney hiking with her dog Copper, riding her horse Elvis, or tending to her flower garden!
